FOSSILE

The result of intense introspection, "Fossil" connects the mineral, organic, and human worlds. It invites us to reflect on how memory and history manifest themselves in matter.

In "Fossil," there is a tangle of threads that gives the impression of organic or plant matter forming a protective envelope. Within it, the folded and juxtaposed papers recall crystals or fossilized mineral structures, fine, delicate, fragile but sharp. And there is this violent contrast added by these metallic red bells: they bring movement, they are life, they are Nobuko's passion for her work, for her art.
