September 9–14, 2025 – Galerie du Crous, Paris 6th arrondissement
As part of the prestigious Parcours des Mondes 2025, Galerie OIA presents “Memories of Silk”, an exceptional exhibition exploring silk, gold leaf, watercolors, and antique papers through the eyes of contemporary Asian and European artists.
Discover works by Su Mei-Yu (Taiwan), Kim-Leng Ung (Cambodia), Tây Nguyen (Vietnam), Christine Boumeester (Netherlands/France/Indonesia) and contemporary Cambodian artists.
Each creation explores the dialogue between Asian tradition and Western modernity, offering a sensitive journey where silk becomes a poetic medium, gilded paper a reflection of the sacred, and watercolors a delicate breath between memory and contemporaneity. Suspended scrolls, colored pencil drawings, ceramics, and ancient sculptures—including a 9th-century sandstone male deity—compose a contemplative and intimate journey, where history and creation interact.
The exhibition invites visitors to an immersive and meditative experience, a journey between East and West, cultural heritage and contemporary creation, light and fragility.
